Vapour Phase Drying (VPD) is a highly efficient process used to remove moisture from the transformer’s active parts under vacuum and controlled temperature conditions. Heated solvent vapors uniformly penetrate the windings and insulation, ensuring deep drying without overheating. This process enhances insulation resistance, reduces dielectric losses, and ensures long-term reliability of the transformer.
